An independent publishing studio. Art books, zines, and print objects that did not want to be made any faster than this.
Drag a spine, or focus one and use the arrows, to reorder the pile. The order of the shelf is the order of the sentence.

Lift a corner. Under the paper there is usually a second opinion — an erratum, a colour note, or the name of the person who cut the sheets.

Everything
We Own
section three · the sheet
Before a run we lay the pages out on one large sheet and print it upside down, so the last page of the book falls off first. Here is the sheet for no. 41, exactly as the press would see it.
paper moon press · sheet 1 of 1 · no. 41, imposed
section four · the small print
Everything we can fit into the last page. Move the pointer across it and the loupe will hold still over whatever you are looking for.
Set in whatever the press owned that week: a Cheltenham for the titles, a grotesque for the running heads, and a typewriter for the numbers, because a typewriter does not care how you feel about kerning. Composed on a stone, locked in a wooden frame, printed on a 1908 Platina at two hundred and forty kilograms of pressure. Sheets are cut one at a time by R. Okonkwo, who has refused, politely and permanently, to explain the scoring system. The ink is tomato where a correction was made and cobalt where a correction will be needed. Paper is mould-made, 160gsm, dampened overnight in the flat next to the kettle. Edition sizes are three hundred, except for the object books, which are forty, and the zines, which are two hundred because zines should be findable. We do not print on demand. We print, we count, we shelve, and then we wait to see whether anyone writes to us. Unsold copies are not pulped; they are re-read. Corrections appear in the next impression, in the same colour, at the same size, without apology. This edition was finished on a Thursday. The moon outside was not especially round, but it was present, and we have decided to take that as sufficient.
